*Bottles are always taken away before he gets a chance to break up the plastic.

Sometimes I put a few treats inside an empty water bottle so Haley has to work at getting the lid off, then getting the treats out. Luckily, she doesn’t eat the lid or shred the plastic bottle.

Empty water bottles sure are a lot of fun –and they make great sounds, too. (Good to hear you took it away before it got dangerous.) And M.K. Clinton’s idea about tying it into an old sock is a great idea. Less chance of issues — and you’re reusing an extra sock. (We all have those unpaired socks lying around. I always wonder who has the matching sock?)

That’s the number one mystery in our house. Although once I did find Ellie’s secret stash of undergarments in her dog bed, underneath blankets and toys.
